The number of daylight hours each day varies from one part of Antarctica to another, depending on latitude. The Antarctic Peninsula extends to almost 60° S latitude. Russia’s Vostok Station is close to 80° S latitude, and the South Pole is at 90° S latitude. Daylight hours for each of these latitudes are given in the table below. Use the table to answer the questions that follow. |
